Judgement

Clear cut and dry,
No grey was seen,
Neither worried,
Nor confused it seems.

Guilty of,
The heinous crime,
The jury unanimous,
In its resign.

The judge decided,
To be lenient,
Not to the jail,
The guilty sent.

Whilst boos descended,
From the court,
The judges order,
The gavel wrought.

A hush prevailed,
A silence heard,
The judge began,
With solemn word.

The crime as such,
Though perpetrated,
Was out of love,
Not one of hatred.

The man that stands,
Before you judged,
With hand on heart,
Declared as such.

Would one of you,
Have done as he,
I too would see,
You also free.
